Guttorn Otto
The Fall season is upon us and Gallery on the Lake is featuring the superb artwork of Guttorn Otto. His exhibit, Visions of Beauty, is on display in the gallery's rotunda from September 18th to October 8th.

Guttorn was born in Poland into a family steeped in a background of art and music. After deciding to pursue a career in fine art, he spent several years of concentrated study with some of Europe’s most noted teachers and then travelled extensively painting landscapes and studying the techniques of many European artists. After settling in the Toronto area in the 1950s he has since travelled across Canada many times, finding inspiration from the endless variety of Canadian landscapes. He confines his work to water colour and oil and enjoys creating a variety of works from florals to still life and seascapes.

Now over 80 and still producing works of art and teaching, he tends his garden, plays the cello, discusses philosophy, and windsurfs with his son and grandson.

Come and meet Guttorn Otto in the Gallery rotunda on Saturday September 25th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Gallery on the Lake, located on County Rd. 36 just east of Buckhorn, is open every day from 9:00 - 5:00 with free admission.
