press release Dave Beckett Gallery on the Lake in Buckhorn will be the setting for Dave Beckett’s unique and high contrast paintings in his new exhibit “Reflections of Our Land.” His work will be unveiled at a premiere opening and Artist’s Reception on Saturday, July 2nd from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Gallery Rotunda. Dave will be in attendance and will demonstrate his unique artistic talent. Renowned for his high contrast paintings of reflections in landscapes and seascapes, Beckett has received wide acclaim in the world of Canadian art. With more than 40 of his original works on display, some very large five foot dramatic works depicting our land will also be included. Considered to be one of the finest pastellists in Canada, Beckett is a signature member of the Pastel Society of Canada and the Pastel Society of America. His works form part of major collections in Canada and abroad, including the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, major banks and other corporate and private collections. His recent travels to British Columbia and Mexico have given him the opportunity to paint some magnificent scenery for this exhibit.
