Jake Vandenbrink
Internationally renowned artist Jake Vandenbrink will host the opening exhibit for the new 2008 season at one of the most stunning galleries in Ontario and one of the largest galleries in all of Canada. Gallery on the Lake is an impressive, cedar clad, octagonal building with amazing views over lower Buckhorn lake near Buckhorn Ontario. The building sits high on a beautiful pink Precambrian rock outcrop above the water.
For a number of years Vandenbrink has been showing his creations in this prestigious gallery. For three weeks starting April 26th his work will be featured in the center, light-flooded, octagonal, rotunda area. Vandenbrink is known for his tranquil, highly detailed nature scenes; our woodland areas and the many lakes that evoke the beauty
of Ontario landscapes. Jake Vandenbrink is an established painter who has been the recipient of several Ducks Unlimited Awards - both regionally and nationally. He has been painting for more than twenty years and his paintings appeal to those who want to feel the beauty and calmness of nature.
As spring heralds its arrival with new growth and birds singing why not take a trip to the beautiful Kawarthas? Buckhorn is North of Peterborough. The Gallery on the Lake can be found on highway 36 between Buckhorn and Burleigh Falls (about 3 kms. from Buckhorn). By Boat it is between the Buckhorn and Burleigh Falls Locks.
The Jake Vandenbrink exhibition and sale takes place at the Gallery on the Lake from April 26th to May 16th. The opening reception and Meet the Artist will be held on April 26th from 1-4 p.m. in the gallery rotunda. The Gallery on the Lake is open 7 days a week from 10am.-5pm.
