Ontario Landscapes by Tim Packer
The artist was present for the opening of the show in the Main Rotunda
on May 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Vibrant colour, strong design and virtuoso brushwork are hallmarks of Packer's work. From Lake Superior's Algoma Region to the protected wetlands in the South, the Ontario Landscape comes alive under Packer's brush.
A native of Whitby, Ontario, he originally received acclaim for his watercolours and portraits. Two years ago he made a major stylistic change which has resulted in this latest series of paintings.
The paintings will be on display from May 20th to June 9th and the artist will be conducting a water soluble oil painting workshop at the gallery from June 2nd to the 4th.
