Marilyn Mercer and Jake Vandenbrink The Gallery on the Lake will be hosting a new exhibit entitled "Two Perspectives" featuring the works of accomplished artists Marilyn Mercer and Jake Vandenbrink. Known for her large floral watercolours Marilyn Mercer has moved in a different direction with works for this exhibit. She has been producing large acrylic collages, acrylic on woven fabric and acrylic abstracts on canvas and watercolour paper. Collectors who have enjoyed her "Dreamscapes' and "Mystical Apparitions" can look forward to a vibrant, colourful and very contemporary exhibit In sharp contrast to Marilyn's bold pieces are the tranquil scenes

	evocative of the area - of Jake Vandenbrink's new works. Jake is an established painter who has been the recipient of several Ducks Unlimited Awards - both regionally and nationally. He has been painting for more than twenty years and his paintings appeal to those who want to feel the beauty and calmness of nature The exhibit opens Saturday September 2nd and runs until September 22nd.
