Bev Hanna & Lu Robitaille
Huronia artists Lu Robitaille and Beverley Hanna have been painting together for over a decade, and often appear in the same shows, but this is the first time they have featured together.

Hanna says, "Lu is a brilliant watercolourist, using a unique impasto technique I've seen nowhere else. Her miniatures have to be seen to be believed."

Robitaille smiles as she describes her friend's animal art. "It's unbelievable... photographic in its realism. I've seen people with their noses pressed to the glass, trying to see her brushstrokes."

Known primarily as a miniaturist, Lu Robitaille's love and passion for the Georgian Bay area shine through every brushstroke of her paintings which range in size from two inches to three feet. Bev Hanna lovingly documents the animals she paints with an often surprising sense of humour. Bev is renowned for her commitment to charitable organizations. Her "Joy of Animals" painting which has been reproduced in poster form has been one of the OSPCA's best fundraisers.
