Gwen Boyes-Sitler ~ "The Winnie Stories" | ||
As a recognized Canadian Artist by the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario,
Boyes-Sitler portrays, not only in words but also in oils, the vibrancy and colourfulness of her
childhood years. Boyes-Sitler’s book entitled “The Winnie Stories”, a compilation of her stories
with twelve original works of art are a delight not only to read, but to view as well. The stories
which are partly factual and partly fiction, depict a time in rural Muskoka in the early to mid 1950’s.
Seen through the young and innocent eyes of a carefree girl raised within a large family, the stories
expose the reader to the humour and emotions of life in a small Ontario community.Gwen Boyes-Sitler's “The Winnie Stories” exhibit runs from June 11 through to July 1. See the press release for more information. |
