Terry Ananny

Born in 1956 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Terry Ananny resides in Ottawa, Ontario. Terry Ananny’s bright and colourful acrylic canvases of children at play and seasonal village scenes capture the spirit of Canadian life.

From a young age Ananny showed a keen interest in panting and although she studied fine art she is primarily a self-taught artist.

During her early years she spent summers on Lake Muskoka and travelling to Quebec which enriched the artist with lasting impressions of the splendid Canadian landscape and diverse Canadian culture. Ananny brightly recaptures on canvas these charming landscapes and their surroundings.

Her works are held in over 1200 Canadian and international corporate collections. Canadian Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and the Government of Canada have collected her work over the past two decades. Her work has been commissioned for a Canadian coin and selected each year for a UNICEF Christmas card since 1998. Her work is also seen on Hallmark, Save the Children, Children's Wish Foundation, Canadian Greetings and Island Art greeting cards. Many fine art galleries in Canada and the United States represent the art of Terry Ananny.
